Esau was the most logical name, it sounds better than "black shirt guy" or "new Locke".

"“Everything”? How come?":
It's just an assumption that connects with my overall theory that Esau orchestrated an elaborate plan to kill Jacob. It would be easier to tell a story this way too: Esau has influenced and orchestrated everything up until the death of Jacob, then show Jacob in the last season reversing/corrupting Esau's plan.

Of course, since I think my theory is very close to how the story will unfold I'm seeing more clues that re-enforce my theory.

One major one, the end of the show shows a white background with the lost logo. An exact opposite of what we're used to. This could mean a parallel of the bomb changing the future and a new story is going to unfold OR it's been a story about Esau (black) for the last 5 seasons and now season 6 is going to be about Jacob (white).

Both of those help my theories: the bomb did change the future. Jacob will be a major piece of the plot next season (enough to frame the show around him). And those possibilities are not exclusive, since Jacob may need the bomb to change Esau's plan (that's why he influenced it's happening) and the bomb aside from Jacob's influence would most likely change Esau's plan.

"The only way for Jacob not to be killed at the end of S5 is for the losties to never arrive at the island."
I didn't necessary mean if the bomb goes off they will never crash on the island. They probably would, but the bomb would need to change a lot in order for Esau's plan to not be possible.
