Here’s a thought…. Maybe next season everything in the present will take place with the survivors back home and dealing with problems from the aftermath of being rescued off of the Island. The flashbacks will be comprised of telling the story of just how they were all rescued, and hopefully it will describe why Jack grows a beard and becomes suicidal and why Kate for some reason can no longer talk to Jack.
Also, it was probably Ben in the coffin, because when Jack was asked if he was a friend or family he said neither, and when Jack asked Kate if she went to the funeral she asked him why she would have gone. Apparently this person had no friends or family and Kate wanted nothing to do with him/her. Fits perfectly with Ben. And Jack might have been upset enough to kill himself when hearing of Ben’s death because Ben may have been the only one able to get Jack back to the Island.
That’s an interesting point Palmtree, you’ve convinced me it might just be Ben.
I hope not.. If the 4th season Lost is set off the Island and that the flashbacks take us to the island, the show will be a complete failure im sure of it.. But ya it could be Ben in that coffin i never thought of that..
I told myself maybe it could be Locke and for some reasons the Losties would’nt go to his funerals.
