Well, it’s about time this domain name paid off.
It was good to finally see the [ or "a"
] underwater hatch; I saw that one coming, but I was kind of expecting it to just be implied and not actually discussed or proven.
I thought it was interesting that they actually seemed to go the other way and made sure to clarify that point. Even after the whole flooding scene, Jack makes a point of saying “we’re underwater, aren’t we”. Kind of weird.
Wow, what a great way to start off the season! Yeah, they did kind of over-explain it, although perhaps they just did it to ensure they didn’t lose anyone who maybe doesn’t catch on as quickly. I can’t wait until next week!
At this point, I think they’re aware that if they just hint at something or don’t make it crystal clear, the fans will immediately begin huge online debates / theories on the issue, so I kind of took it as “yes, this is the underwater hatch, OK?” to those of us (me included) who like to get wrapped up in all the theories & conspiracies.
I knew it. Told you guys. Of course I had no info it was just a hunch that sounded the most cool of the theories that could be possible.
I really don’t think there underwater exactly, well under the ocean. Being under the ocean might explain why Jack didn’t want to drink the dripping water but it doesn’t explain how it’s seemingly easy for Ben to go to the underwater hatch and the zoo. There probably just all the same place but that just proves that it’s not exactly the underwater hatch we were looking for in the middle of the ocean.
I don’t get what you’re saying there; I don’t think we ever see Ben walk from one place to the other in any defined amount of time. Except for the shots of Kate and Sawyer together, we have no way of knowing when those separate events for the three of them occur, relative to each other.
They could easily be on opposite sides of the island, and Ben could easily have transportation systems that could get him anywhere on (or off) the island in a matter of minutes.
I do agree that it seemed a little odd, since I was picturing the place where they are now as being on the opposite side of the island from where we’ve seen that cable go out into the water, but like I said, there’s plenty of ways that could be explained. One is that they are that far apart and there’s underground transportation that connects all the stations. Another is that we have no idea how far away or close the following points are to each other: (1) where they were attacked / taken from, (2) the fake camp, (3) the pier at the end of season 2, (4) where they are being held now. Sawyer and Kate are obviously held at the same place, but that could be nowhere near where Jack is.
