My bet: the big white light & noise.
i think walt is the monster. you are going to find in a few seasons that walt and baby aaron are going to have a showdown of good versus evil. therefore proving whey the others would want children. they probably heard that a child would save them or something and thats why they are snatching them all up in hopes that they grab one of them. or sun’s baby is going to play part. maybe he will be the evil instead of walt. maybe walt will be the instigator.
I agree with Dan, I think the fog is the monster and also part of “the sickness” that is making ppl suffer from alucinations.
