Last episode’s been aired. A few questions have been answered and new ones have popped up. From the top of my mind I can think of seven noticable topics:
- What is the story behind that four toed broken statue, the others’ door and the stonehedge look-a-like stones connected close to the others’ lair?
- What does the key actually do? Kelvin’s description wasn’t exactly very detailed. If it all “went away”, then surely Charlie should be dead now!? What did he even do there?
- The others clearly have a lab or facility of some sort… They do not just live in tents. Where is it and what do they do there?
- Desmond’s girlfriend.. Does her family have a connection with the Hanso foundation? What did that last scene mean?
- Is Kelvin still alive? (Least likely, but) If not could Desmond and Sayid talk with each other about him to find out about his past?
- Flying parrot screaming Hurley. What’s up with that?
- Who is “Henry”… really? Now he seems to be chief in command?
I also noticed how Libby was in Desmond’s flashback as it was rumoured. Furthermore, her appearance supports the whole, “she might have been an other or with someone else” hypothesis. Either that or it’s almost too convenient in terms of random appearances.
Also, does anyone know where the episode name comes from? I know Jack says it at some stage, but it sounds like it could be a quote from someplace else.

You’ll have to excuse my lack of artistic/drawing talent, but I found this rather amusing to draw. Now if only October would come quicker…
You could read my post to see my answers to your questions but I think Libby’s appearance and story doesn’t make her out to be an other. I think the story is genuine and that the reason she was locked up was because of her husband’s death.
Personally I believe she is not an other, I don’t have any proof either way, but just out of gut feeling, I think she’s legit. However, from the elements that people have noted here on this blog and me seeing these after watching a few episodes over again, I feel it is necessary to not leave this suspicion out of the picture because of the connections that “can” be made. I felt libby was a great character and should have stayed on the show.
I mean, when do we ever get to see that the fat guy gets the chick in mainstream entertainment? It was different, and nice.
As for Libby, I still maintain all my theories on her that I’ve stated so far; just because I haven’t seen anything to rule them out yet. Her encounter with Ecko and the “resurrected” kid at the airport just added to the suspicion for me. I do admit that “my Libby is an other” standpoint has always been a bit of me just thinking it would be a cool angle and trying to find things that either support or refute it, so I’m not trying to say that I think it definitely is that way, just that I think it should be.
Either way, I do believe that we haven’t seen the last of her, as it relates to the story, although I don’t think they’ll be bringing her back from the dead or anything. My prediction is that as the flashbacks progress, we’ll see more of how she in fact is (or should I say “was”) tied in to the conspiracy and was involved in a lot of pre-crash set up events.
Also, speaking as a (relatively) overweight person with a hot chick, I’m also with you on seeing the Hurley / Libby relationship as a good thing (in terms of TV show portrayal of relationships), even though I still think (in the context of the show) that she was only getting close to him to uncover info.
