I think the fact that the statue has four toes has no particular relevance; I think the main question is how something that huge and heavy would have been transported to the island. My guess is that the answer is something other than a huge freight ship, which is the only conventional way it could have happened.

There are all sorts of theories about where Atlantis could have been if it had existed, but I'm with you in assuming that there is no Atlantis connection.

I think that the reason Desmond had trouble leaving could simply have to do with the magnetic issues screwing with his compass, because he made mention of how he kept trying to head west and it turned out to be wrong. Seems like an experienced sailor like him who is also aware of the island's magnetic properties would have figured that one out, but apparently not.

Michael might be gone for good; it really seemed like his whole story had been told, which is why I was thinking he might die at the end of this episode. On the other hand, if that's all we find out about what the deal with Walt is, it would be a bit of a letdown, and I'm not sure how they would bring back Walt without Michael, though, but I'm with you - I think Michael may still end up helping them out in some way.

Ecko could easily be dead; I think it's more likely that he would be than Locke, although probably neither of them are. But I definitely predict that one (or both) of them will now be attempting to cooperate with the others in the future.

[...] It’s pretty long but I think the finale has answered a lot of questions and solidified the direction that the island is not as mysterious as we thought. [...]
