Libby theory:
Libby was on the bridge that Hurley made collapse, killing all the people, she was not injured but a good friend was killed making her “crazy” (which is why she was in the asylum with Hurley) until she snaps out of it only for the revenge of getting Hurley back. Following Hurley to Astralia and back to only crash on the island.
or
Libby is a “gold digger” and knows that Hurley is a filthy bastard and has been following him.
or
It’s just a conincidenc ethat she was at one time “crazy”
or she is part of the Dharma project and was hired to follow Hurley and get him to the island.
The two people that will die by the end of the season (reported by the producers).
Jack. Abrams will get to finally kill him off since he couldn’t in the first episode. Which makes me think his back story has nothing to do with the main plot since he was going to die in the first place. He’s also getting to get on peoples nerves lately the same way Shannon and her brother did. The craziness of late could be attributed to the disease though. It just seems there is something wrong with him.
Charlie. Another character that is just getting on peoples nerves and he seems to have found a little redemption with Ecko which might make his death heart-felt.
Libby. Just a possibility since Hurley’s getting a little close and the island doesn’t like new love. ie Syid and the Shannon.
Anna Lucia. Every one’s been saying she is to go but the producers said that they made her character the abrasive type to only peel it away later and I haven’t seen that at all and I actually want to see her character develop into something other then what she is. It’s been brought up that she will go since she has to go to jail. It’s only for a week and it’s happening now I believe or close to it.
 What brought down the plane.
The magnetic machine or whatever you want to call it split the plane in two, knocked everyone out and then safely placed everyone and the plane on the island. The flying ghost things are also controlled by magnets and they were used to wake everyone up by blowing the engines up and such (which is an actual occurrence in episode one if you slow-mo the part where the engine blows).
Walt could be possibly involved.
 Him?
Locks dad is Him.
Attention posters, I just installed a new new plugin that will hide spoilers if you use something like this,
this is a spoiler
In the last 3 days Officiallost has received 100 friend requests.

Caution: If you look close enough at the large size of this copy of the call sheet for episode 23 and 24, you might find revealing details. I just skimmed over it, as I was afraid I would see too much. You’ve been warned.
I’ve heard some commentary about the writing on the map appearing to be from a left-handed person, and someone pointed out that Desmond appears to be right handed.
After thinking about this, I went back and checked the “Henry” appearances just for the heck of it, and he does in fact use his left hand exclusively (eating cereal, etc.), although that could be just because his right shoulder is injured from the arrow wound, so I guess we can’t definitively say whether he’s left handed or not.
I think it might be interesting if Henry turned out to be Desmond’s previous hatchmate, and then got pulled into being a part of the “others” after he got out, but then that would go against my theory that “Henry” is a pretty high up guy in the others’ ranks.
Here’s some interesting excerpts from this article about a study on the effects of magnetism: (I added the bold highlighting for emphasis / possible connection points)
It’s dark, quiet – there’s a woman sitting blindfolded in an armchair. On her head is some kind of helmet. She senses the presence of others, maybe even God, at her left side even though she knows there is no one else in the room. When she tries to focus on them, they move around. Although she feels fear, she’s sad when this presence fades away.
The experiment is over.
……………………….
As with the woman at the beginning of the article, stimulating the right side of the brain elicited a sensation on the left side of her body. When she tried to focus on the presence it seemed to move because the act of focusing changed her brain activity and how the fields interacted with her brain. When the fields were stopped, the presence disappeared.
……………………….
Persinger reported that about 80% of subjects experienced a sensed presence. This experience was rarely reported for the control group – people exposed to sham-field conditions. Subjects consisted of students enrolled in first year psychology classes who participated in exchange for extra marks, but the same results have been reported by other volunteers including self-labeled psychics and brain-injury patients. With the latter group, it helps them to realize that presences that have appeared since the injury, which are often thought to be a deceased family member or cultural icon, can be replicated in the lab and do not mean they are “going crazy as they often feel to be the case.
……………………….
A volunteer who had experienced a “haunting was exposed to specific magnetic field patterns. Persinger’s group was able to replicate the experience, as well as detect a sudden outburst of electrical activity they believed came from the right temporal lobe, an area linked to religious experiences. The right hemisphere is often associated with artistic ability and Persinger pointed out in his talk that introspective individuals are more sensitive to electromagnetic activity.
Here goes another theory I thought of on why the blast doors come down and whether it’s related to the food drop.
I suspect that under normal conditions there is more than one person designated to be in the hatch, and that they are very fearful of something or someone outside of the hatch (disease, out of control “monster”, etc).
Therefore, the procedure for retrieving the supplies involves designating one person to venture out and fetch the food, and anyone else gathers inside the lockdown room. Only once the lockdown is in place does the food fetcher go out and retrieve the food, and the blast doors remain sealed until the food person comes back in, examines everything and determines that the outer areas of the hatch are safe after the external doors have been re-sealed. Only then are the blast doors reopened, so that if anything did get in while the hatch was open to the outside world, the person/people in the lockdown area would still be safe.
Just another of my crazy ideas; hope it works out.
I suspect that Henry meant for them to uncover his lie by digging up the grave. I say this because I think he wants them to get back into interrogating him more, so that he can find out through that how much they know.
The whole setup of the grave was to make it appear that they caught him in a lie, but in reality he started them on the trail of that con, which would result in them believing that they had the upper hand on him, and end up (in their overconfidence) revealing more information to him about what / how much they know, even if it’s in the midst of a brutal interrogation.
I believe he meant to get himself captured in the first place, in order to find out more info about the group of survivors. I also think that he was smiling when Locke was yelling through the door at him not only because he was happy that he had totally played Locke, but also because Locke was confirming (in his panic) that he had no clue about either the purpose behind the numbers or the map, and he desparately needed to see more.
Here’s my latest take on the Libby character, and my previous allegation that she is working with “the others” and/or Dharma: I think she was put in that hospital as a plant, to monitor “Lenny” (the numbers guy), who I believe was formerly a part of this experiment before he went insane.
Her new assignment on the island is to get as close as possible to Hurley and find out how much Lenny may have revealed to him and report back.
